About us

Miravent Retreats

A small team, a house in the interior of Mallorca, and a centre in the Peruvian Amazon.

Where this comes from

The story

Miravent grew out of a long apprenticeship. Years of travelling to the Amazon and the Andes, of sitting with elders in their own territory, and of studying what happens in a body when something finally moves.

From there came Somaviva: a way of bringing together things that do not usually meet — Amazonian tradition, Andean cosmovision, the teachings of Indian Swamis, and the analytical rigour of Western psychobiology.

Today that work takes three forms: retreats in Mallorca, long-form training, and the accompaniment that comes afterwards. The team keeps its own centre in Tarapoto, in the San Martín region of Peru, and returns there every year.

What guides us

Philosophy and values

  • Discretion

What happens in a circle stays in the circle. We do not publish faces, names or stories without consent, and we do not ask anyone to perform their process in public.

  • Honesty

We would rather tell someone this is not their moment than fill a place. We do not promise outcomes, and we do not use urgency to move a decision.

  • Respect for origin

The traditions we draw from belong to peoples who are still here. We travel to them, we learn on their terms, and we name them.

  • Continuity

Preparation, accompaniment and integration are one thing, not three products. Nobody is left holding an experience alone.

The people

Our team

The people who welcome you are the same ones who accompany you and who are there afterwards.

  • Iván Serra

    Director · Somaviva

A clinical psychologist by training. He spent fifteen years alternating between his practice and long stays in the Amazon, until he stopped understanding the two as separate things. He directs the Somaviva school and holds the circles in Mallorca.

  • Lena Vogt

    Facilitator · Nutrition

A nutritionist who came to this work through her own recovery, which is where her way of accompanying comes from: no lectures about what you ought to eat. She runs the kitchen during retreats and offers individual sessions. She works in German, English and Spanish.

  • Marta Ferrer

    Facilitator · Integration

A Gestalt therapist specialising in the afterwards — those weeks when an experience either turns into a sustainable change or settles into being an intense memory. She coordinates the integration programme and supervises trainees on placement.

Method

How we accompany

We create a space where you can show yourself as you are. That is the whole method, and it is harder than it sounds.

In practice it means small groups, a team that stays present through the night, no pressure to participate in anything, and a conversation before and after every experience.

Our home

Mallorca

We work in the interior of the island, away from the coast. Dry stone, holm oaks, almond trees, low hills and a particular quality of silence.

Mallorca is not a stage set for us. It is where the team lives and where the work happens, year-round.

Nourishment for body, mind and spirit

At Miravent, nutrition is understood as more than food — it is energy, emotion, connection and self-love.

Through individual energetic nutrition sessions we support you in reconnecting with your body’s natural rhythm and wisdom, exploring what truly nourishes you: physically, emotionally and energetically.

Sessions are available privately and for retreat participants. Custom cakes are also made to order, without refined sugar or gluten.
